چکیده

Background Adenosine perfusion imaging at 1.5 Tesla (T) has been shown to yield good diagnostic values in comparison to quantitative coronary angiography. Perfusion imaging at 3 T has the potential benefit of higher contrastand signalto-noise ratios. However, little is known about diagnostic performance of 3 T perfusion imaging in comparison to 1.5 T and in comparison to invasive measurement of fractional flow reserve (FFR). We sought to evaluate visual and quantitative assessment of adenosine perfusion at 3 T in comparison to 1.5 T and to coronary angiography in patients presenting with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD).

1.5 and 3 Tesla quantification of myocardial perfusion reserve in comparison to fractional flow reserve

Methods Thirty-four patients referred for coronary x-ray angiography with suspected or known coronary artery disease underwent cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) at 1.5 and 3 Tesla, and additionally FFR measurement in LAD, CX and RCA. MPR was calculated in 544 myocardial segments at both field strenghts. FFR was measured in 109 coronary arteries with a cut-off value of ≤0.8 for relevant s...

Validation of dynamic three-dimensional whole heart magnetic resonance myocardial perfusion imaging at 3.0 Tesla against fractional flow reserve for the detection of flow-limiting coronary heart disease

We demonstrate the feasibility of 3D myocardial perfusion CMR at 3 Tesla against fractional flow reserve (FFR) in 53 patients for the detection of flow-limiting coronary artery disease and show good agreement between the techniques. This technique shows excellent diagnostic sensitivity and specificity and may offer an alternative method of detecting ischaemia for the purpose of guiding revascul...

Data on diagnostic performance of stress perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance for coronary artery disease detection at the vessel level

Stress perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) has been proposed as an important gatekeeper for invasive coronary angiography (ICA) and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) in patients evaluated for possible coronary artery disease (CAD) (Fihn et al., 2012; Montalescot et al., 2013) [1], [2]. Several meta-analyses have evaluated the accuracy of stress perfusion CMR to diagnose CAD at th...

Cardiac MRI at 3 Tesla - Challenges and Technical Solutions

Introduction Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) has rapidly become the imaging method of choice for the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, and its clinical indications have expanded greatly in the last decade [1]. Although the majority of CMR examinations is still performed at a field strength of 1.5 Tesla, the growing availability of 3 Tesla scanners has resulted in an increasing number of CMR...

Cardiovascular magnetic resonance perfusion imaging at 3-tesla for the detection of coronary artery disease: a comparison with 1.5-tesla.

OBJECTIVES This study was designed to establish the diagnostic accuracy of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) perfusion imaging at 3-Tesla (T) in suspected coronary artery disease (CAD). BACKGROUND Myocardial perfusion imaging is considered one of the most compelling applications for CMR at 3-T. The 3-T systems provide increased signal-to-noise ratio and contrast enhancement (compared wi...
